I love your roundups always, and just have to put a plug in for Human Acts!!!! also great reminder to re-read Detransition, Baby after finishing Stag Dance last month
Not you saying you FORCED us to read it with you when I fully have owned a copy for months hahah. Thank u for your support in such a confusing time (aka reading On A Woman's Madness) we got through it together 😌
You've really sold me on Scaffolding you know! It sounds really interesting and up my alley. Can't wait to read Lerner w you this month xox
I’m also reading all of Han Kang this year! A spontaneous decision when I read Human Acts in March. Read The Vegetarian in April. Weird, uncomfortable, but loved it. I’m taking a Han Kang break this May and will read Greek Lessons next in June.
Loved the Vegetarian — read it years ago I can still remember it vividly! It’s so strange and great. Cannot wait to check out Scaffolding and Nova Scotia House. Your description of NSH sort of reminds me of Horse Crazy by Gary Indiana, which u should read (I think you’d like it based on your taste!)
all this could be different is a NONNEGOTIABLE. i read it in 2023 and it was easily one of my favorites of the year.
i also have been thinking about rereading detransition baby ever since finishing stag dance---good reminder !!!

Noted!!!! It’s been sitting on my shelf for years and I don’t know why I’ve never picked it up

Reading DB after Stag Dance I think made me appreciate it more? I was really in a Torrey Peters state of mind
